Since 1998, Greg
Chase has operated and published Destinetion Online Marketing and Travel Guides.
Destinetion publishes online guides to all 50 US states, major cities and over international locales.
He has also established or enhanced
web presences for
a number of organizations including the Lester B. Kabacoff School of Hotel
Restaurant and Tourism Administration at the University of New Orleans, Vandamere Press and ABI Professional Publications. He
has also have provided consulting services to organizations such as United Cerebral Palsy
in the area of web marketing and promotion .
Chase served as Coordinator of connect.uno, the University of New
Orleans (UNO) web-based program to assist the Business Community in locating UNO resources and services that help to facilitate
business and economic development interests. The site serves as a business
portal to the New Orleans area economy. In addition to managing the
program he is responsible for all content and technical aspects of web site
development, marketing, promotion and program administration. Through
connect.uno he also developed and managed the UNO
web-based online New Orleans regional economic development marketing campaign, "New Orleans Works."
Previously he marketed
and promoted Fairfax County as a business location (Washington, DC metro area,
population 965,000) for the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and
Convention and Visitors Bureau . His responsibilities included
development and management of the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau web site,
publications and literature for tourism and conventions and meetings. His experience
also includes an extensive background in local government administration and program management. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from the
University of New Orleans.
On August 29, 2005
Hurricane Katrina struck the New Orleans area leaving thousands out of there
homes. Like thousands of others like them, the Chase family was displaced.
Chalmette, Louisiana their home, a close in suburb of New Orleans, had all of
its 27,000 households inundated by flood waters. The Chase family has
since relocated to Northern Virginia, but its heart remains in New Orleans.
